24/7 life

When you 'signed up' for parenthood you probably didn't stop to think about the amount of time you would invest in it. It only became obvious to me when my kids became teenagers and I realized that I was a chauffeur and a cook "on demand". It was how we set our household up. Yours may be the same or different, that doesn't really matter. It is the communication that you develop between you and your children that will matter, especially during their teenage years. The time to start this two way dialogue is when they are little by letting them make choices of their own. Yes, let them actually make some decisions.
