Many years ago a friend of mine gave me a little hat which belonged to an elf named Elfie. This elf has visited our home beginning the Monday after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve every year since. This is our Christmas tradition that we invite you to become yours.

The way our children knew if their elf had visited the North Pole and returned to see them was if his magical hat moved. Every morning... the first thing they did was look to see where the elf hat was. Some mornings it was in the window sill, on a candlestick, by their bed, and so on... Some mornings there would be a note from the elf. It's explained inside Santa's Elf Kit. They looked forward to seeing if he had come each and every day. He became sort of a pen-pal and has been a family tradition ever since.

Their elf actually helped Santa out by helping to get their Christmas lists together early. And other things like helping to deliver some presents that were too large to come on Christmas Day.
